## Return & Refund Policy — Brighton Jars & Bottles

### Eligibility
Return requests must be submitted within 15 days from the date the order was placed.  
All returned items must be **unused, unopened, undamaged**, and in their **original packaging**.

**After 15 days, all sales are final and not eligible for return or refund** for any reason other than damage reported within the required 48-hour window.

### Damage Claims
If your order arrives damaged, you must notify us within **48 hours of delivery** and provide:

- Photos of the outer shipping box  
- Photos of the internal packaging  
- Photos of the damaged items  

Brighton Jars & Bottles uses **third-party carriers**, and all damage-related refunds, replacements, or credits are **strictly subject to the carrier’s claim process and decision**.

We **cannot issue refunds or replacements** until the carrier completes its investigation and approves the claim.  
If the carrier **denies the claim**, Brighton Jars & Bottles is **not obligated** to provide a refund, replacement, or store credit.

This protects both the customer and Brighton Jars & Bottles from fraudulent or unverified claims.

### How to Initiate a Standard Return (Non-Damaged Items)
To return an unused and unopened product:

1. Contact us to request return approval and instructions.  
2. Wait for confirmation — **unauthorized returns may be refused**.  
3. Pack items securely; customers are responsible for any damage during return shipping.

### Who Pays for Return Shipping?
For all standard (non-damage) returns, **the customer is responsible for all return shipping fees**.

### Refunds
Refunds for standard, approved returns (not damage claims) are issued only after:

1. The returned goods are received by Brighton Jars & Bottles, **and**  
2. A full inspection confirms the products are unused, unopened, undamaged, and in original packaging.

**Refunds are issued either as store credit or to the original payment method used — at the customer’s choice.**

Refunds exclude original shipping fees.  
Processing time is typically **3–7 business days**, depending on your financial institution.
